Armageddon laid!
When booty calls ... Affleck scores, Stern bores and Snoop Dogg rolls tape?

- - - - - - - - - - - -
By Amy Reiter

Oct. 27, 1999 | Ben Affleck: off-screen action hero?

The "Good Will Hunting" star makes one thing perfectly clear in an upcoming Playboy interview: He's getting more booty than he knows what to do with.

"Kevin Bacon once said, 'Anybody can get laid when they're famous. The champion thing is to get laid when you're not famous. That's what's really hard.' Boy, does that turn out to be true," says Affleck. "You can be seriously disfigured or whatever and women will still be attracted to you."

And speaking of serious disfigurement (or whatever) and what's really hard, the 27-year-old star confesses he even tried Viagra in order to keep up with the ... uh ... rigors of fame. But, alas, it turned out to be "one of [his] biggest disappointments."

"I figured it's this old-guy drug. If you can't get a hard-on, you take Viagra," he says. "But then these guys start telling me, 'No, no, no, you can take it too, and it's like you were 14 and jerking off six times a day.'" Half a pill, however, made him feel "like I almost had a heart attack. I had to sit down, and all it did was make me sweat and feel dizzy. And really unnerved. I felt no sexual effects whatsoever."

Can you help this guy out, Mr. Dole?

"I want to get this out in the open. I do not satisfy her needs."

The Voice, the doll

Ol' Blue Eyes is back. But this time he's plastic.

Mattel's new Barbie Loves Frankie Sinatra doll -- endorsed by the Chairman of the Board's daughter Tina -- hits stores this week. Li'l Ol' Blue Eyes is accompanied by his "biggest fan" -- Barbie the bobby-soxer, who comes decked out in scrunched bobby socks and brown loafers and clutches a 78 Sinatra single.

Should Ken be jealous? Not at all, reassures Mattel P.R. gal Lisa McKendall, "Ken's been there all along. She loves these men [Sinatra; Elvis, the first Barbie Loves doll] from more of a fan perspective."

And if that doesn't comfort Ken, he'd best keep it to himself, unless he wants a pair of little cement shoes.

Regrets, he has a few

"I had a lot of things I was going to do when I became the first First Man."

-- Bob Dole, sighing over a missed opportunity during a lecture at Kansas State University.

Juicy bits

Any actor can be arrested for suspicion of marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting transportation. But it takes someone special to be arrested while dancing naked and beating a bongo -- with a trusty (male) friend clapping along. Matthew McConaughey is apparently just such a special someone -- arrested around 3 a.m. at his Austin, Texas, home Monday and released that afternoon. "I don't want to rent a place there, but it was a nice stay for a night," McConaughey said of his time in the slammer. The drug charges were dismissed, by the way, but if I were Matthew, I'd be clinging to that dazed-and-confused excuse like nobody's business.

Harrison Ford's helicopter sustained heavy damage when it crashed last Saturday, but Ford himself emerged scratch-free. And while it's true that he, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas are sniffing around a new Indiana Jones script, it's probably unlikely that it was just a publicity stunt.

Skin Snoop in the house? The hip-hop site Platform.net is reporting "unconfirmed reports on an unnamed adult entertainment gossip Web site ... that the L.A.-based rapper [Snoop Dogg] will be on the scene at the filming of a porno early next week ... There's no word yet if Snoop's gonna join in the festivities personally." No Doggy-style jokes, please.
