SOLO FOOTPRINT ON THE MOON

I took the picture of the bootprint. But that was not the first step on the Moon.

First I took a picture of the surface of the Moon; then I put my foot on it. You see the same little grains [of Moondust] here and there-but at a slightly different angle, because I had to move. Then I said to myself, "Now wait a minute, that's a lonely-looking bootprint; let me take a picture of the boot." So for the next picture I made a new bootprint, then moved my foot an inch or two away -- so that you see a picture of my overshoe, poised above the boot print.

That's kind of classic: the Moon before the footprint -- then the same spot on the Moon, with the bootprint.
