_______________UNZIPPED: TO TELL OR NOT TO TELL BY COURTNEY WEAVER (12/24/97)

You may very well already know these things, but you should certainly emphasize to your readers the following points:

1. There are no "safe" times to avoid getting pregnant!
2. Herpes CAN be transmitted when the person is not having an outbreak. One source states that 70 percent of transmissions are during asymptomatic shedding.
3. Does anyone truly believe that AIDS is for gays and herpes is for heteros? I hope not too many people.
4. The prevalence of genital herpes is approximately 25 percent. Once acquired, it's for life, guaranteed.

Also -- excellent Web site. It's great to see so many articles filled with interesting viewpoints and well thought out opinion. Somehow that seems to be lacking elsewhere. Thanks for rejuvenating my mind!
