The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Special '99 (8 p.m., TNT) goes behind the scenes at the top secret photo shoot with hosts Heidi Klum and Andy Kindler. This year's hot item: A William Rehnquist-inspired black and gold beach robe over nothing but a thong. The new cable movie The Color of Courage (9 p.m., USA), based on a true story, stars Linda Hamilton as a woman who befriends a black neighbor (Lynn Whitfield) amid racism in 1945 suburban Detroit.


S E R I E S

Arizona Sen. John McCain is profiled on a new Biography (8 p.m. EST/9 PST, A&E). Jack's poetry reading prompts rumors about his sexuality on Dawson's Creek (8 p.m., WB). On Party of Five (9 p.m., Fox), Griffin confronts Julia's abusive boyfriend and Charlie goes to Los Angeles in pursuit of some recently discovered dirt about Daphne. On the first of two episodes of Law & Order (9 p.m., NBC), the cops investigate the death of a community activist. The second episode (10 p.m.) finds Briscoe and Curtis competing with bounty hunters to bring in a murderer. A friend asks Watters for a kidney, and a car crash victim needs a hand transplant on Chicago Hope (10 p.m., CBS).
