On Mad About You (8 p.m., NBC), Paul's emergency surgery sends Jamie into a frenzy of guilt. Sharpshooter Annie Oakley is profiled on a new Biography (8 p.m. EDT/9 PDT, A&E). A Very Special Episode of Home Improvement (8 p.m., ABC) -- and aren't they all? -- finds son Randy leaving home to study the rain forest for a year. The staff of Sports Night (9:30 p.m., ABC) scurries to control the damage when one of the anchors is quoted as saying he supports the legalization of marijuana. Chastity Bono is interviewed about her family and her gay rights activism on Dateline NBC (10 p.m., NBC). Frontline (check local times, PBS) presents "Ambush in Mogadishu," a documentary about the disastrous 1993 attempt by elite U.S. Army forces to capture Somali warlord Mohammed Farah Aidid, as told by surviving American soldiers.
The coming-of-age drama Felicity (9 p.m., WB) stars Keri Russell as a girl who follows a guy she has a crush on to college in New York City. Vengeance Unlimited (10 p.m., ABC) is an action drama about a vigilante named Mr. Chapel (Michael Madsen) who hunts down criminals who have escaped justice.
