Chris Noth will return as his character, Detective Mike Logan, in a Law &
Order TV movie called "Exiled," to air on NBC this fall. Noth was
written out of the show (he asked for too much money) a few seasons ago; his
character was supposedly transferred to a patrolman beat on Staten Island
for punching out a corrupt political official. The movie will pick up with
Logan trying to rebuild his career ... Another new cast member has been
added to Homicide: Life on the Street. Michael Michele (that's a
woman) will play Detective Rene Sheppard, a beauty pageant contestant turned
cop who transfers to the homicide unit from the fugitive squad ... HBO has
announced that Chris Rock will return for a third season of his talk show,
beginning next month. HBO has also renewed the Bob Odenkirk-David Cross
sketch comedy series Mr. Show with Bob and David for another season
... And ABC's Nightline will have a five-week prime time run at 10
p.m. Thursdays beginning Aug. 6. It will be a five-part series on the
American prison system.
