In honor of the New Writers Issue, the Paris Review invited six writers to record their work for Salon Audio. This is the second of two parts, featuring three more new writers:


Matthew Vollmer's first short story was published recently in New Letters. He teaches at Purdue University. He reads an excerpt from his story "Oh Land of National Paradise, How Glorious Are Thy Bounties."


Thomas Healy lives in New York. He reads his poems "And Now" and "Phocion's Wife." For text versions of these poems, click here.

Richard Matthews' poems have appeared in Drunken Boat and are forthcoming in Western Humanities Review. He lives in New York. He reads four poems from his "Cavafy Suite." For text versions of these poems, click here.
