Pet Peeves
Read by George Plimpton
Born in 1927, George Plimpton has had a kaleidoscopic career ranging from professional football to film acting to circus performing to photographing centerfold models for Playboy. In 1954 he began as an editor of the Paris Review, and since that time he has helped to shape one of the most highly regarded literary journals in the world.
In this audio excerpt, Plimpton reads from his recent comic mystery, "Pet Peeves," about the disappearance of a pet advice columnist and veterinarian named Dr. Rawff.
